These beautiful stove
boards are manufactured using a special "thin set" bonding technique
to give them the flexibility needed to withstand the weight of heavy
stoves without cracking or splitting. The steel frame provides
strength around the perimeter, preventing chipping and separation.
The boards come in either a "double cut" or "single cut"
style. "Double cut" is used when the back of the board parallels or
butts up to a wall. "Single cut" is used when installing the board
in a corner of the room. Tartara and Natural Oak offer an octagonal
cut.

This unique product is
created with a special transfer process in which a high-resolution
digital image of natural marble or granite is impregnated into a
coated cement board to a depth of .007 inches. It is virtually
indistinguishable from real stone. The result is a beautiful,
enduring, and very realistic surface. MuruStone has been thoroughly
tested for fine, scratch, mar, and stain resistance.
Medium gray slate,
rust granite, and ivory marble colors are in stock. Other granite
and marble colors are available special order, including honey beige
marble, emerald isle marble, ebony marble, executive granite, regal
granite, and port royal granite. The gray slate is a non-digital
impregnated style.

Stove boards come
in brick and gray tile. The brick style has a textured surface,
while the gray tile surface is smooth. Both styles have recessed
mortar joints.
